Could Cary See Its First Snow This Week?

There’s a chance of wintry precipitation in the Triangle this Friday, Dec. 5, with the possibility of a brief period of snow, sleet, or freezing rain during the morning or afternoon. While any snowfall would likely be light and short-lived, meteorologists aren’t ruling it out entirely, particularly in northern parts of the Triangle. If flakes do fall, they will likely turn to a cold rain by afternoon as temperatures rise into the 40s.
The latest models suggest warmer air and less overall precipitation, so significant impacts are not expected. Still, with morning temperatures in the 30s and lingering rain into Saturday, it is worth keeping an eye on the forecast. While this winter is expected to be warmer and drier overall, brief cold snaps like this remain possible.

Restaurant Spotlight: Al’s Burger Shack

Al’s Burger Shack keeps things straightforward. The menu is short, the burgers are fresh, and the toppings stay in their lane instead of turning the whole thing into a science project. The Paco and Bobo are the usual go-tos, and the fries do their job without pretending to be anything fancy. It is the kind of spot where people know what they like and order it every time.
The vibe is relaxed and unfussy. You walk in, grab a good burger, and get on with your day. The Apex location has the same casual appeal as the original and it fits well for a quick lunch or an easy dinner when you do not feel like overthinking it. If you want a solid burger, Al’s Burger Shack delivers.
It’s not quite Cary, it’s just barely into Apex, but it’s worth it!
