New Asian Grocer Coming to Cary

Go Fresh 365, an Asian supermarket chain with locations in Massachusetts, New York, Maryland, and Florida, is set to open its first North Carolina market in Cary in the former Lidl location at High House Crossing that closed in 2023. Specializing in Chinese cuisine, the grocer is affiliated with Strong America, Ltd., one of the nation’s largest Asian food wholesalers.
This new location is Go Fresh 365’s entry into the growing Triangle market, bringing even more international grocery options to our diverse fresh and prepared food options with specialty ingredients and everyday staples commonly found in Asian cuisine. Stay tuned for a specific opening date.
Why Burned-Out Professionals Are Turning to CBD
Long hours, heavy workloads and frustrating coworkers: job burnout is on the rise. Savvy professionals are turning to CBD and its sister compound, CBG, to manage work stress and burnout without losing focus.
Like CBD, CBG is a non-intoxicating compound found naturally in the hemp plant that is known for helping to manage mild/temporary anxiety. And these benefits are backed by science: participants in a 2022 CBDistillery study who took CBD + CBG reported:
Reduced mild or temporary anxiety and tension
Increased focus and mental clarity
That CBD + CBG was more effective than other treatments they tried in the past
When it comes to quality CBD products, CBDistillery is leading the way. Non-GMO, US-grown hemp, 100% clean ingredients, and a 60-day satisfaction guarantee give you one less thing to stress about.

Restaurant/Charity of the Week
Taco Addicts

Will there ever be too many places to eat tacos in Cary? Nah, we don’t think so either. If you haven’t been to Taco Addicts in Crossroads Plaza yet, head over for an extensive menu of Mexican street-food-style offerings that include the usual classics along with build-your-own and more orginal (and humorously named) options. The staff is super friendly and happily help navigate the many choices also on the menu like fajitas, burritos, enchiladas, nachos, and more. The casual atmosphere is cheerily inviting, the expansive space is perfect for large parties, and there’s typically no wait. Catering is also available.

Town Updates
Cary residents have one final week to comment and provide feedback on the best use of the over $3 million dollars in local and federal funds, including the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), to support affordable housing and housing stability for Cary residents including new housing development, rehabilitation, and foreclosure prevention. Citizens are invited to review the DRAFT FY 26-27 Annual Action Plan and proposed updates to the CDBG Citizen Participation Plan until 4/30. For more information, visit housing.carync.gov
Cary’s annual compost bin and rain barrel sale is running now through May 10
Cary wants to make it easier for residents to build eco-friendly habits into their daily lives to reduce stormwater runoff and landfill waste. The town’s yearly sale offers rain barrels, compost bins, and accessories at prices lower than wholesale, making it easy and affordable to make use of rainwater and turn food scraps into compost, small steps that make a big difference for the community.
Held entirely online through Enviro World, the Town of Cary helps host and publicize the sale but does not make any profit. Click here for more details.
