Restaurant Spotlight: So Hot HotPot

So Hot HotPot in Cary offers a lively, high-tech twist on the traditional Chinese hot pot experience. Guests are greeted by a robot host before settling in at tables with built-in heaters to cook their own meal. The menu features a variety of broths from fiery beef tallow mala to mild tomato, along with meats, seafood, vegetables, tofu, and noodles you prepare to your liking. A generous sauce bar lets you mix custom dips with ingredients like sesame oil, garlic, peanuts, and Szechuan spices.

The fun extends beyond the meal with unique treats like a cotton candy vending machine, milk mini buns, brown sugar rice cake, and boba teas. The all-you-can-eat format, priced around $25 for lunch and $29 for dinner, makes it easy to sample a little of everything.
