📘Don't Miss This Fall Market
Good morning, Cary!
How was your weekend? I hope you’re enjoying the cooler, fall weather. This is my favorite time of the year!
Thanks again for answering the poll last Friday! Here are the results.
123 people answered, and 99 people (80.49%) answered yes, they have gone to an event listed in Cary Digest before.
This was so cool to see. It’s almost hard to believe that Cary Digest has grown this much and has such an impact on the community. Thanks for your support!
Anyway, here’s what you can expect in Today’s issue:
Early Voting for Cary elections

Early Voting Begins This Week for Cary’s 2025 Municipal Election

Early voting for Cary’s 2025 Municipal Election begins October 16, with sites open at the Wake County Board of Elections Office in Raleigh and the Chatham County Agriculture & Conference Center in Pittsboro. Additional early voting locations, including Herb Young Community Center in Cary and New Hope Baptist Church in Apex, will open October 25, and all early voting ends November 1. Voters will choose representatives for District A, District C, and one At-Large seat, and should remember to bring an accepted form of photo ID.
To help residents make informed decisions, Cary hosted a recorded Community Candidate Forum featuring all candidates for the open seats. The forum airs daily on Cary TV through November 3 and is available online at carync.gov/candidateforum
Own or Starting a Local Business? Let’s Talk

At Cary Digest, we don’t just work with anyone. You’ve probably noticed we’re pretty selective about who we show to our nearly 10,000 readers across Cary.
We’ve turned down ads from sketchy repair companies, a nightclub, and other businesses that didn’t feel like the right fit. We only want to share things that are actually helpful, not just noise in your inbox.
Most of the businesses we feature become long-term partners. When someone joins us, they’re the only advertiser we work with in their industry. No competitors. Just them.
Right now, we’re looking to team up with a couple of trusted local businesses, especially in:
Home services like HVAC, roofing, electrical, or even general contractors
Health and wellness services like dentists, physiotherapists, massage therapists, or mental health professionals
If that sounds like your business, your spouse’s, or a friend’s, reach out. You can reply to this email or contact [email protected].
If they end up coming on board, we’ll give them a free ad in the newsletter as a thank-you for the referral, and we’ll send you a $50 gift card to a restaurant of your choice!
Let’s keep supporting the small businesses that make Cary a better place to live.

Charity Spotlight: Note in the Pocket
In Wake County, Note in the Pocket is working quietly but powerfully to tackle clothing insecurity by providing high-quality, school-appropriate clothes to children and families in need. Rooted in dignity and care, their mission is to ensure that no child’s educational or social journey is held back because they don’t have suitable clothes.
What began as a teacher’s effort to send spare coats home with her students evolved into a full nonprofit by 2013, and today Note in the Pocket operates across Wake and Durham counties. They partner with school social workers and community agencies to distribute clothing via referral. In 2024 alone, they clothed over 10,000 individuals and delivered nearly 247,000 clothing items.
You can support them in many ways: donate new or gently used clothes (infant through adult sizes), host a clothing drive, volunteer to sort and pack items, or contribute financially. Wakefield United Methodist Church, for example, maintains a donation bin and hosts volunteer days for NITP.
