📘Cary's FIRST Electric Firetruck Makes Way!

Happy Friday, Cary!

Today’s issue is a bit short. I’m in the middle of a big move, so I’m writing this after packing a U-Haul all day! I hope you enjoy the issue though— it has all the essentials of Cary Digest. A main story, a charity spotlight, things to do, and more!

Anyway, here’s what you can expect in Today’s issue:

  • Electric Fire Truck

  • Children’s Flight of Hope

  • Plenty of markets this weekend!

Cary Leads the East Coast with Field-Proven First Electric Fire Truck

The Town of Cary has made history by launching the East Coast’s first fully operational electric fire truck. The $1.8 million Pierce® Volterra™ electric pumper responded to its first structure fire on June 20, performing flawlessly with battery to spare. Firefighters praised its quiet operation, which improved communication and created a calmer, safer scene.

Designed to cut greenhouse gas emissions by up to 60% over its 20-year lifespan, the Volterra features a 500-gallon water tank, a 1,500 GPM pump, and fast-charge capability—recharging in about 15 minutes. This investment supports Cary’s broader climate action strategy and positions the Town as a national leader in sustainable public safety.

A pro traders #1 rule when trading options

Scott Redler has spent 30 years mastering one thing: sticking to a proven strategy. And with over 200k followers, he’s helped others trade stocks.

Now, he’s finally cracking open his options playbook for the masses to see. That’s because volatility in the markets makes options a winning strategy. Plus a recent 423% winner on BABA in 1 day! It’s about understanding risk vs. reward.

Scott is sharing exactly how he does it in a free report & 15-minute video.

Charity of the Week: Children's Flight of Hope

Based right here in Cary and serving families across the country, Children’s Flight of Hope provides free air transportation for children facing serious medical conditions, ensuring distance and cost are never barriers to care, no matter how often or far they need to travel. Every child travels with a guardian, and CFOH supports their journeys from treatment through recovery with compassion and reliability.

Founded in 1990 by a Durham pilot who recognized the need for medical travel support, CFOH has grown from volunteer flights to flying over a thousand missions annually. Today, they partner with airlines like American and Southwest and rely on corporate sponsors, donors, and volunteers to serve children throughout the U.S. and internationally.

One of CFOH’s flagship community events is Hops for Hope, an annual festival where ~30 Triangle breweries partner with corporate teams to brew signature beers, raise funds, and celebrate with live music, food trucks, and activities for kids—all to sustain CFOH’s mission. The 10th Anniversary Hops for Hope is scheduled for September 13, 2025, at Midtown Park in North Hills from 2–6 pm. Your participation, whether by donating, volunteering, or attending, helps fuel hope and healing for children when they need it most.
