CORRAL Riding Academy is a nonprofit organization based in Cary, North Carolina, dedicated to helping adolescent girls in high-risk situations through equine-assisted therapy and comprehensive academic and emotional support. Since 2008, CORRAL has worked to break the cycle of trauma by pairing rescued horses with young girls who have experienced significant adversity, including abuse, neglect, and systemic inequality.

The program begins with “Join the Herd,” a 12-week introduction to equine therapy focused on relationship-building and emotional regulation. Those who continue enter the long-term Riding Academy, which combines therapy, mentorship, academic tutoring, vocational training, and family support. Girls often remain in the program for multiple years, committing up to 17 hours per week during the school year.
