New Mixed-Use Complex Slated for Cary’s Western Corridor

A major new development is on the horizon for Cary’s fast-growing western edge. Developers have unveiled plans for a mixed-use complex that will bring new apartments, retail space, office buildings, and possibly a hotel to the area. The proposed site is near the border of Cary and Morrisville, not far from the future Apple campus, making it a highly strategic location.

The project is designed to foster a “live, work, play” environment that will serve local residents and businesses alike. City planners are reviewing the proposal, with community meetings expected later this summer.

Raleigh–Cary Ranks Among Top 5 Tech Metros in the U.S.

The Raleigh–Cary metro area is once again in the national spotlight, ranking as the No. 5 tech hub in the United States, according to a new report from CompTIA. The annual State of the Tech Workforce report highlights the strength of the region’s job growth, innovation, and business environment in the tech sector.

Local leaders point to Cary’s growing concentration of software companies, IT services, and research organizations as reasons for the area’s consistent performance. The Triangle’s robust university ecosystem and thriving startup culture continue to draw new talent and employers each year.

Charity Spotlight: Cat Angels Pet Adoptions

Looking for a local cause that really makes a difference for Cary’s furry friends? Cat Angels Pet Adoptions is a volunteer-run nonprofit devoted to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming cats and kittens throughout the Triangle. Every cat receives loving care, medical attention, and plenty of playtime until they find a forever family.

Want to help? Cat Angels always needs volunteers for feeding, cleaning, socializing, and fostering cats. Donations of food, supplies, or funds are also welcome—and if you’re ready to add a new feline family member, they’d love to introduce you to your purrfect match.
