News
Triangle Lunge 5K at Koka Booth!
The community is invited to come together on March 21 at Koka Booth Amphitheatre to support lung cancer research and local programs in an event focused on connection, awareness, and impact. Participants are encouraged to form or join a team, raise funds, and show up in full force, with every step taken and dollar raised contributing directly to efforts that benefit the community. Whether lung cancer has personally affected you or you simply want to support a meaningful cause, the event is open to all.
Attendees can choose between timed and untimed race options, with additional activities including a kids area, games, prizes, food trucks, and live music. Designed to be family- and pet-friendly, the day offers plenty of ways to get involved beyond the race itself. Organizers encourage early team sign-ups and fundraising to help make this year’s event the most impactful yet.

Business Spotlight: Total Spa Escape!
Total Spa Escape has been helping Cary residents relax and celebrate for more than 24 years. The business specializes in spa-themed gatherings such as girls’ nights, birthday parties, corporate appreciation events, and kids spa parties, pairing light treatments with a fun group atmosphere. Guests can enjoy services like exfoliating hand scrubs, moisturizing treatments, facial skincare sessions, foot treatments, and guided relaxation designed to help people unwind while spending time together.
The business is owned and operated by Lynn Koy, who continues the spa’s tradition of creating relaxing and memorable experiences. Total Spa Escape offers customizable spa parties that can be hosted at events or brought directly to homes and offices, making it easy for groups to enjoy spa treatments together in a laid-back setting.
Restaurant Spotlight: Karavan by 3 Olives!
Karavan by 3 Olives offers a focused take on Eastern European and Mediterranean cooking that stands out from the usual local options. The menu leans into grilled meats, fresh salads, and house-made specialties, with dishes like kebabs, dumplings, and savory pastries served in solid portions with straightforward presentation. The flavors are clean, the seasoning is confident, and the kitchen shows a clear sense of consistency from plate to plate.
The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable, making it just as suitable for a casual dinner as it is for meeting friends. Service is attentive without being intrusive, which matches the easygoing feel of the dining room. If you tend to favor well-prepared, traditional dishes over trend-driven menus, this is a place that delivers. It is a reliable option when you want something familiar but still a little different from your usual rotation.
